Sushi Anyone?

The Bluefin Tuna is in serious trouble, read about it here http://www.canadaka.net/link.php?id=37877.

Why are tuna threatened? Who is causing the problem and how can it be fixed? What are some interesting characteristics of Bluefin Tuna?

i think that there should be more fish farms to regain the strong population of tuna.

The tuna’s are being threatened by people are catching them. Who is causing this problem is Atlantic and Mediterranean bluefin tuna fishery. How can it be stop it that if they stop catching thousand of them and just collect like couple hundred. The only one that can hunt them is the killer whale and that they weight about 700 kilograms

the tuna are threatened because tuna is the best meat for sushi, and sushi is becoming more popular throughout the world and the harvest of tune is at its largest.

Tiddler - Are there Tuna fish farms? I don't think so but maybe you could look that one up.

So if the demand for sushi went down then the tuna stocks could recover?

well if there isnt any then they should put that idea to consideration before the tuna's depletion becomes too unstable.

Not a bad idea but the extinction of Bluefin tuna in the wild could really mess up the food web.
